I got a little bored earlier today studying Management 3000, so I decided to take a break and make a small Mac application! It’s one of the most annoying things to me and there has never been an easy and quick fix.
Have you ever started cleaning out your hard-drive and got this popup? I seem to get it all the time. Maybe its because I have hardly any space left or maybe its because I try to do too much at one time, but either way the item won’t delete until you restart your computer.

For me, this has been a problem for ages. I learned that you can kind of force delete the trash by choosing “Secure empty Trash”, but that doesn’t always work. My app works every time, and here’s how it works:
1. Running my “Delete Trash” app opens Terminal.app.
2. It inputs the command rm -rf ~/.Trash/* which will ALWAYS clear the trash.
3. It logs you out and closes terminal and itself. No clutter, just a clear Trash in about a second.
